Helen Denny of Lowestoft Kuk Sool Won has recently been promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt by the Grand Master In Hyuk Suh in Kings Lynn at the annual European Championships and Masters Exhibition.
Helen has been training at Lowestoft Kuk Sool Won under Master Instructors Martin and Alison Ducker for over 16 years. Her final test was held at Lynn Sport in Kings Lynn and lasted over 2 hours, this was the 8th test of this length over a 2 year period which is required to show commitment and stamina before being promoted to 4th degree. Achieving the 4th degree black belt is a significant mile stone at Kuk Sool because this is one rank away from becoming a Master.
Helen is now in the top ten highest ranking female black belts at Kuk Sool Won in the UK. 5th Degree Master Instructor Alison Ducker said "Its hard enough to reach the 4th degree black belt level as it is, but its even harder as a woman".
Congratulations Mrs Dee on achieving this monumental level at Kuk Sool.
