Back to the blog.... ?

I haven't been posting on my blog for ages and I feel really out of touch with it. Facebook is such a quick and dirty route that I have fallen foul to its time saving (or time erroding for some).

So I thought I'd give it another go as I was going to knock it on the head. Let me know your thoughts and comments over the next few posts and this will help me decide whether I'm going to continue. I'd like to see the blog develop with me through to the master level. That would be my goal.

Speaking of goals and things to achieve, this year has been much better than last. It seems all I did last year was stress about raising money for Help an East Coast Child and making sure we raised enough money for Helen to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Since that event it seems like we haven't stopped and settled down yet.

We had our first break together in over a year a couple of weeks ago and it was nice.... but I want more now I've had a sample. I've missed spending quality time with my good lady wife.

We are both working hard and I've had a promotion at work which is good, but it does come with you guessed it..... MORE work! I've been able to earn some overtime for the first time in a decade so I've lapped that up in a hope that I can do enough to get a new shower in our en suite as the current one is quite frankly.... pathetic.

Kuk Sool wise - training has been going well, I'm fitter than I was last time I posted on the blog and Master Martin has really upped his game this year and pushing us harder and getting more out of us. I am currently recovering from a particularly gruelling session over the weekend! Friday's classes were tough for Master Martin's birthday and it was brilliant. Saturday morning we covered the 15 hand strikes and Tiny Dragons class, and Saturday afternoon at the instructors workshop we worked on Master Sung Jin's kicking routine. Man I was sweating buckets and it felt great!

I'm so honoured to have Master Martin as an instructor. Many of us have no idea what it would cost to have a personal trainer in a gym who is as qualified and genuinely interested in our development as him. If you haven't already make sure you thank him for his continued support.

Don't give up the Blog, SBN!

I see the Facebook/Blog thing like reading a magazine to reading a book.

The magazine is great for quick snippets, but the book is where all the good stuff goes ;)
